After Care

Permanent Cosmetic After Care

  • Wash your hands thoroughly before touching the tattooed area.
  •  Week 1: Keep the tattooed area clean by rinsing with lukewarm water and patting dry with a disposable paper towel 3 times a day, then apply thin layer of the after care ointment provided. Apply using a disposable cotton swab.
  • Week 2: Keep cleaning them with lukewarm water twice a day for the second week, no ointment.
  • You may shower or bathe normally, but avoid using any soaps or cleansers on the treated area for the first week as they can be detrimental to the bonding process that must take place for the pigment to stabilize in the dermis.
  • Do NOT pick or scratch at the dry skin/flakiness; let the skin fall off naturally. Picking can cause scarring and premature loss of pigment. IMPORTANT: Once the flakes have fallen off, a shiny layer of healing skin will completely cover the hair strokes. It will appear as though the eyebrows are gone. Within 1-2 weeks, the hair strokes will slowly reappear at a lighter shade as your skin regenerates.
  • You must avoid working out for 1 week following your appointment. Light exercising is allowed (minimal sweating), but you MUST clean the tattooed area with lukewarm water as soon as you are done exercising. The salt in the sweat will fade the pigment very quickly and give poor results.
  •  Avoid direct sun exposure for the first 14 days. You MUST wear a hat while outside during the healing process.
  •  Do NOT apply make-up to the tattooed area for the first 2 weeks. Chemicals of any kind may interfere with the healing and color of your tattoo.
  • No swimming pools, jacuzzis or other bodies of water for two weeks.
  •  Do NOT soak your face underwater in a bathtub or allow the shower to spray directly in your face for two weeks.

Once eyebrows are healed

  • Exposure to the sun over time can cause fading and discoloration of the pigment. Once completely healed, you may apply sunscreen on the treated area. Wear large sunglasses and a hat for further protection. Rinse and dry the area thoroughly when in contact with chlorine.
  • Glycolic Acid, Retin-A, face peels and exfoliation must be kept away from the tattooed area as continued use could lighten the pigment.
  • If you are having laser resurfacing or laser hair removal after your tattoo has healed, please inform the laser technician.  Laser procedures may darken, lighten, or discolor the tattooed area.

Lash After Care

  • Do not get your eyelashes wet for the first 2 hours.
  • Do not use a spa, sauna or pool for the first 24 hours. The extensions need that amount of time to properly bond.
  • Avoid pulling or rubbing your eyes.
  • Do not use eyelash curlers with your extensions. With proper application you will not need them.
  • ONLY use oil-free makeup remover. If your eyelashes are tangled or crossed over, use the Spoolie given to you during your appointment to gently brush them straight and put them in place.
  • Proper hygiene is very important. Please keep lashes clean by regular washing them 1-2x daily. Special foaming lash bath eyelash cleanser available at the salon.
  • Avoid using mascara
  • After showering avoid rubbing lashes, it best to blot them with a towel and let them air dry.
  • You can also dry the lashes by using a hair dryer on the cool setting and blowing them dry from the bottom up. It makes them curlier and fluffy.
  • Use care when applying facial and eye creams to avoid the lash line. Too many oil-based products can break down the adhesive.
  • Touch-up appointments are recommended every 2 - 4 weeks to maintain the fullness of your eyelash extensions.

Skin Care After Care

  • Make sure you cleanse your skin 2x daily (AM, PM)
  • Moisturize, moisturize, moisturize!
  •  Sun protection is a skin care routine must. It is very important to use SPF daily. (broad-spectrum sunscreen with an SPF of 15 or higher) you should reapply sunscreen at least every 2 hours or immediately after swimming or sweating.
  • REMOVE your make up at night!  Sleeping in your makeup isn’t exactly the best idea. When you sleep in a full face of makeup, it can mix with the dirt and oil on your skin, leading to clogged pores and clogged pores can lead to breakouts and blackheads. Leaving your make up on at night also speeds up the aging process leading to premature wrinkles!
  • Make up remover wipes shouldn't be a replacement for washing your make up off.
  • Stay hydrated! Drink your daily water! Drinking at least 8 glasses a day will help the digestive system flush out toxins from the body and improve your complexion for healthy and glowing skin
  • Avoid touching your face
